Grand Rapids Barbecue Chicken



  1. To Make Sauce: Combine Comstock More Fruit Apple Filling, Open Pit Honey Barbeque Sauce, chipotle powder and paprika in a bowl.
  2. Brush chicken breast with oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on grill over medium heat.
  3. Grill on one side about 6 minutes and flip. Brush chicken with sauce and cook additional 6-8 minutes. Flip chicken again and brush with sauce. Cook 1-2 more minutes until chicken is cooked through (reaching an internal temperature of 165 degrees).

Suggestions: Serve this chicken sliced over greens with apple slices, pecans, tomato, and your favorite dressing or try this sauce on Kielbasa, as in our Open Pit Glazed Smoked Sausage Recipe.
