Open Pit Pittsburgh Style Sauce



  1. In a large heavy sauce pot, melt your butter over low heat. Add onions and let them mingle with the butter as it melts. Stir regularly or your butter will burn. Add the sugar and let melt thoroughly. Add mustard & hot sauce. Add Open Pit Original Flavor Barbecue Sauce and stir. Put on medium to high heat and stir often. Add vinegar, hot sauce and the fresh squeezed juice from the lemon halves. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
