Open Pit Toledo Chicken



  1. To make sauce: Combine all the ingredients, except chicken, in a saucepan and stir to mix. Bring the sauce to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and gently simmer the sauce, uncovered, until thick and richly flavored, stirring often to prevent scorching. ~30 Mins.
  2. Brush chicken breast with oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill over medium heat approximately 18 minutes, brushing often with sauce.

Suggestions: Serve this sweet and smoky chicken over field greens, with tomato, red onion, and chopped bacon, tossed with your favorite dressing.
